FROM ROME:  Take the highway ROME-FLORENCE, exit CHIUSI-CHIANCIANO continue towards Val D'Orcia - Monte Amiata - San Quirico and more specifically: to go in the direction of Montepulciano (not to get to Montepulciano). Will find on the left after a few km from the motorway, the junction for Val d'Orcia - Monte Amiata - San Quirico. Begin a road curving / climbs and descents that will take you to a "step" where the right is the restaurant "La Foce" and left its "parking". Continue on the scenic road (looking at the scenery). The road goes down and after a few corners and a short straight, take a right (usually you have the clock on the opposite hand) with the signs for Siena - San Quirico. Once the hairpin, the STOP sign turn right. Go straight, find another stop, continue straight. At the next stop turn right to San Quirico, continue straight past few bridges (not to drive while drunk) at a certain point on the right is the inscription MONTALCINO, turn right, go up the hill and come to the roundabout with the sculpture at the gates of Montalcino, go read the paragraph 4 (time 2 ½ hours / 3 hours)

FROM GROSSETO: if you come from Aurelia road, after reaching Grosseto, take the fast road to Siena. After several miles turn right PAGANICO (sharp bend). After a few km you will see on the left for Montalcino-Sant'Angelo stop to STOP and turn left you will find a bridge, then right a few houses (Sant'Angelo Scalo), continue on paved road,after 3 km. you will find on the right the indication and then you will be ARRIVE at Sant 'Angelo in Colle. Incredible!!!! You will reach your destination.

 

FROM FLORENCE: Take the highway to Siena and, once reached Siena, exit at Siena Sud indicating BUONCONVENTO-MONTALCINO. Continue for BUONCONVENTO. Few km after BUONCONVENTO turn right to Montalcino. Follow the paved road and after a few km you will come to a stop sign with a roundabout and a large petrol station on your right, turn right (after doing the full: the gas station is a friend, anyway paid) and arrive at the Square with the statue at the gates of Montalcino. Go read the paragraph 4 (time required approximately 2 hours).

FROM MONTALCINO:  Arrival (with the benevolence of Our Lord) to the roundabout with a sculpture at the gates of Montalcino, skirt the roundabout turn left (you will have the right bar with a terrace bar and immediately on THE TERRACES right the Carabinieri station), continue straight towards Grosseto. After a couple of kilometers of a paved road with curves, you will pass on the right 2 hotels (Hotel Bellaria & Hotel Brunello). Continue about 8 kilometers, UNTIL you will reach the junction to the left to SAN’T ANGELO IN COLLE. Incredible!!!! You will reach your destination.
